| Posting Information |
To create a procurement request for transportation services, first click on the "POST LOAD" on the homepage. Then continue to fill in the form.
Sometimes it may be necessary to change the information in a load. It is ok to change it, however, be careful because the load should not be changed if a bidder has already made a bid on the load unless the bidder is made aware of the change and can submit a new bid to replace the initial bid. Freightwatcher has decided to add a feature which will automatically notify bidders of any changes in load information. Still, caution should still be taken when a load is edited. To edit a load, go to "My Homepage" and click on "Posted Loads". You will see your loads. Click on edit to change fields that can be changed. Click the "Update Load Now" button to submit the changes.
To view bids on your postings, one needs to visit "My Homepage" and click on "Your Posted Loads". There one can view bids by clicking on "All Bids".
After the load closes, you should receive an email stating that the load has closed and now you must select a winner. The email provides a link that allows you to enter your homepage. You may need to enter your username or password. Or you can go to "My Homepage" and select a winner after the load closes. Once in your homepage, click on "Your Posted Loads". Closed loads with bids should have a link next to them called "choose winner". If not, you may need to go back to the exchange page and click on the load to activate "closed". Then when you go back to "My Homepage" the link will be there.
After you click on "choose winner", you will see the bidders. You will be able to view information about the bidder. Then, enter a "1" next to the bidder you want to win and select "choose winner". If you don't want to select a winner, enter a "0" next to each name and select "choose winner".
A new page will open confirming that the winner and losers have been chosen and notified. The bidder's bid status page will reflect the choice. However, you need to email the winners and losers with the decision using the "email winner" and "email losers" functions provided on each load so the bidders will know your decision. You must also provide the winner with additional information needed to complete the transaction, such as consingee information. This information can be supplied by clicking the "Pickup/Delivery" Link on one's Shipper's Homepage and completing the corresponding form. The contents of the form will become accessible to the winning bidder on their Bid Status Page. Once a user emails the winner, a contract is created unless you state otherwise. For example, one could state, "I select you to ship the load, however a contract will only exist once a written copy is signed". Once, a winner is selected, the decision can't be undone on Freightwatcher. If a mistake has been made contact the carrier immediately.
There is a feature on Freightwatcher which allows a shipper to identify the address and contact information for pickup and delivery. When a shipper enters this information, the winning carrier will be able to view the information from their "Your Load Bids" section. The information is found by clicking "Delivery Status" of the corresponding load.
A feature has been added to allow carriers to enter the date and time of delivery appointments and actual deliveries. A shipper can view this information on their "My Homepage" under " Your Load Bids" by clicking "Pickup/Delivery" on the load they are interested in.
To request bids on truck capacity, first click on the "POST MENU" on the homepage and then click on "POST TRUCK". Then continue to fill in the form.
